Awareness gives you choice; lack of awareness leaves you to your default - Mike Calderwood So I've been thinking a lot lately about our adoption into the family of God. We are taught and I believed we are adopted as sons and daughters of God when we accept Christ. But I've been learning about our true identity. I've been learning that we are God's children already and we need to recognize our true sonship and recognize our true heritage, our identity..our origin.
So if our origin is in Christ, why then is there a need for adoption? But the scripture is clear that we are adopted. This had me puzzled for weeks! But I think I have found clarity! I think I finally understand the entire process!

So I was thinking about this the other day. Does God support abortion? “OF COURSE NOT!” But what do we really teach and cling to? Please give me the chance to explain myself, please don’t form an opinion until you at least read the entire blog. If you’re reading this and have had an abortion, please know this. God has already forgiven you! God is absolutely, 100% madly in love with you! He wants you to know that you are totally and completely accepted by Him! Having said that, let's dig a little bit...
As some of you may have seen, I posted a status on Facebook that simply said "I'm done with Christianity"
I know the title alone has turned off most of the potential readers of my blog. But they were turned off long ago. So it's been weighing on my mind and heart lately just how much the church attacks and destroys our culture and society. I'm tired. I'm tired of being labeled a biggot, I'm more tired of being labeled so, by the decisions of other people!
In self defense classes, especially for women, they teach that fighting against an abductor only makes it easier for him to kidnap you. The kicking and flailing actually makes a person light enough to be lifted and carried away. They teach that dropping to dead weight actually prevents the abductor from completing his crime. What if the same were true for sin?
So if any of you are like me, you have struggled with the whole argument of "predestination vs mans will to choose." I wrestled with this most of my Christian walk. How can our Wonderful, Amazing and Loving God choose only a certain number of human beings to come to heaven, and by that choice hold those He did NOT choose accountable for that decision. That seems fair right? Yeah, didn't think so. Hopefully I can clear up this confusion and set some of you free!
So it has been brought to my attention that I may not have been clear about what I believe to be true about the Gospel, God and who we are in Christ. As I don't want to cause confusion, I would like to take this opportunity to clarify myself.
Some of the most frustrating things in this world to me are those who have opinions for EVERYTHING! "This is a great weight loss program, you need to try it!" - guy weighs 400 pounds and has diabetes. "If you were wise you would invest your money here" - guy living on credit..you get the idea. Those who have all the answers, but never live the life to back it up.
I have been married for 2 years now and this is the second valentines day I've gotten to spend with my beautiful wife. This year I am doubly blessed as I get to spend it with my lovely wife AND my gorgeous daughter (: I'm a happy man!!
You read it right, I said it..I am absolutely 100% perfect! I know what you’re thinking, “HERETIC!!” but what if I could prove it? What if after I prove it, you realized you are perfect too?! Wouldn’t that be awesome?
